Significance of Hanuman Puja

All those who want to obtain strength, courage, wisdom and knowledge are advised to worship Lord Hanuman. He is a son of Vayu-Dev and 11th incarnation of Lord Shiva. Chaitra Shukla Purnima is the day of incarnation of Lord Hanuman which is celebrated as Hanuman Jayanti. Worshipping Lord Hanuman helps to get rid of all ailments and gives the courage to fight any kind of fear. Widely revered by Hindus across the world, Lord Hanuman is one of the most popular and lovable deities. Hindu epic Ramayana has narrated the great work of Lord Hanuman, who was an ardent devotee of Lord Ram who would not have been able to rescue his consort Sita and defeat Ravana without the help of Hanuman. People visit the temples of Lord Hanuman to seek his darshan and his blessing.

Hanuman Puja Ritual:

Keep an idol of Lord Hanuman and Hanuman Yantra on a red cloth. Apply vermilion and rice grain on idol as well as on Yantra. Lit an earthen lamp and an incense in front of the Hanuman idol and Yantra. Offer panch Amrit, a holy mixture of ghee, curd, milk, honey and sugar, to the idol of Lord Hanuman and yantra. Put some water on Hanuman Yantra as well as Hanuman idol. Put some water in the hand. Repeat the desire or wish and pray to the Lord Hanuman for its fulfilment. Perform Hanuman puja with clear thoughts and sacred mind. Have trust and faith on Lord Hanuman. He definitely grants the wishes of his devotees. Again apply vermilion on Lord Hanuman idol and Hanuman Yantra. Keep a pitcher full of water near the Hanuman idol. Offer rice, flowers, Betel nuts, fruits, roasted Chickpea and Jaggery to Hanuman idol and Yantra, fold the hands and recite these mantras. While chanting this mantra, offer a Betel nut with vermilion on it to Hanuman yantra.
